NYC in November
On Wednesday I’m jetting back across the Atlantic to attend the 3 Percent Conference in NYC. After earning my stripes in London I have to admit that I’m ready to be back in the land of dollar bills and ‘merican pride. I never thought that one day I'd associate New York with home but spending the last few months as a UK resident I have a whole new perspective on the homeland.
Before I dive into my overly ambitious must-do list, I have to let you in on something, I’VE NEVER BEEN TO NEW YORK! [gasp - am I even American??] Now that that's clear please join me in being overly-excited to run through Central Park and do a proper boozy brunch in Brooklyn. Does it get better?? Yes, its does. Because not only do I get to hang in the hustle, I get to do it with some of the most inspiring women and men in advertising.
The 3 Percent Conference is an annual event challenging the lack of women in creative leadership in advertising. Here’s the breakdown of speakers and the topics that will be covered. The event kicks off Wednesday night at the NYC Twitter headquarters with some networking, cocktails, and karaoke [if we’re lucky]. I also have the privilege of writing about keynote speaker, Madonna Badger, CCO of Badger and Winters and visionary behind the #WomenNotObjects campaign. It should be an incredible conference where attendees walk away ready to redefine the industry. I’ll be posting about the event on my social media channels and will recap the conference here on the site. Stay tuned for some #NYCinthefall overload and #3percentconf #girlboss moments this week!
Once the conference wraps up I’m sticking around the city for a girls weekend complete with coffee on the met steps. I would love to hear your suggestions for this first time visitor's must-do list!
What places do you always hit up when in the Big Apple? Leave a comment below and I’ll add add it to my list.
XOXO
